Talk to a person

There is no ticket maze here. Write to us and you will get an answer from someone who works on the app.

General help

support@orbis.id — anything about using the app, a bug, a payment, or a feature request. Tell us which phone and which app version you are on; it is in the app's settings.

Privacy and your data

privacy@orbis.id — access, correction, export, or deletion of what we hold. The Privacy Policy sets out the rights you can exercise.

support@orbis.id, or use the report control inside the app, which is faster because it tells us which conversation you mean. We cannot read your messages, so a report with detail is the only thing we can act on.

Security

support@orbis.id, with "security" in the subject line. If you have found a vulnerability, tell us before you tell anyone else and we will work it with you.

Delete your account and your data

Deleting the app removes everything held on your device — your identity, your keys, your messages and your attachments. We cannot recover any of it.

To also remove the records held by our services — your proven addresses, any directory listing, any identity-verification session — write to support@orbis.id from an address you proved in the app, or use the deletion route inside the app. We will confirm when it is done. You do not need to keep the app installed to ask.

Questions we are asked most

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes. ORBLINK runs on iPhone and Android. Get it from the App Store or Google Play.

I tapped an invitation link and nothing happened.

If ORBLINK is not installed on that phone, the link lands on our invitation page, which tells you how to get the app. If ORBLINK is installed and the link still opened a browser, that page also gives you a button that opens the app directly. Invitations expire 24 hours after they are created, so if yours is older than that, ask for a new one.

The link says it is missing its invitation code.

Some messaging apps truncate a link. Ask the person who invited you to send it again — ideally by copying and pasting the whole link rather than forwarding it.

I lost my phone. Can you restore my identity?

Only you can, and only from the recovery you set up — your recovery phrase, your passphrase-sealed backup, or your recovery shares. We hold no master key and no override, so there is nothing we can do from our side. That is deliberate: a door we could open for you is a door we could be compelled to open against you. Set recovery up while you still have the phone.

Can you read my messages, or hand them to someone who asks?

No. Messages are end-to-end encrypted and our relay holds ciphertext with no key. If we receive lawful process we can only produce what we actually have, which is described in the Privacy Policy.

Do I have to verify my identity?

No. The identity check is optional and paid, and the messaging and calling features work without it. It exists so that you can later prove a single fact about yourself without handing over your documents again.

Was I charged for something I did not buy?

Subscriptions and the identity check are billed by the app store, so the store's purchase history is the record. Send us the order number and we will help you work out what it was.

How do I stop being findable?

Delete your directory listing in the app's identity settings. After that you are reachable only by invitation.
